My webwiz gives every non-registered user the name "Guest". After the first non-user votes in a poll no other non-user can vote, because the system recognizes all non-users as the same "guest" and then says to all "guests" after the first that they have already voted in the poll.

Most visitors to my site are guests. So a poll only generates one vote from a guest.

Anyone know a way around this, to allow all non-users to vote?

John

Thanks dj air.

You are right. There are cookies and they do prevent multiple votes from the same computer. But the cookie expires I believe after the site is closed and so the same person - or anohter unregistered user - can vote.

Good news.
