Hi all.

I've made a forum with Web Wiz Lite, but the members can't insert/upload pictures/avatars in their posts.

When I go to forum config, under avatar images, and click 'set-up the upload component' it just says 'This page cannot be found' .

If I click 'File and image upload setup and configuration' under general admin, then it says: This feature is disabled in the Lite Version.

So, if I can't upload pictures and insert them in posts in the lite version, how do I upgrade my Web Wiss WITHOUT losing posts and data? (which is very important)

Thanks for your time!

Nicholas

The Lite version is for free web hosting accounts that do not support uploading, so this feature is disabled in the free version.

If you are NOT using free web hosting and your hosting provider do have a supported upload component installed then you can upload to the full version by downloading the full version and upload it to your web site overwriting all the files in Lite version, EXCEPT the database which should be named wwForum.mdb in the database folder in the admin area.

The database contains all your posts etc. so in case things go wrong MAKE A BACKUP FIRST

Thanks!! The only reason I went with the Lite version, is that I thought it would be easier....

What is a supported upload component? I'll have to ask him.

Thanks,

Nicholas

I just went to this page:

http://www.webwiz.net/web_wiz_forums/forum_download.asp?mode=asp - http://www.webwiz.net/web_wiz_forums/forum_download.as p?mode=asp

...but I can't see what version I should download, instead of lite.

Any advice?

Thanks!!
