Posting under Windows 2003 and forum version 7.9 (MsAcces) gives a HTTP-error 500.
Just a white screen comes up.

It does put the new topic in the database, but what causes this problem?

In Win2000 no problem at all

It's on this site: http://mtb-sport.sohosted.com/forum/default.asp - http://mtb-sport.sohosted.com/forum/default.asp

please turn off http friendly error messages and post the error here.

there are some issues with 2003, like the application pool doesn't refresh quick enough. to fix this error you can look on Microsoft website.

this might not be your problem please still turn off http friendly error messages

in regards to the application pooling you may want to get your provider to look at this http://www.globaldevelop.com/GlobalDevelop/Forum/forum_posts .asp?TID=147&PN=1 .

thats is if they don't know already.

Usually if you get an error when posting but the post is placed into the database it is due to incorrect settings for your email configuration from the admin area.

Try disabling the email fetaures of your forum, if this works check with your host the correct settings for email.

Thanks, changing from CDONTS to CDOSYS was the solution.

Provider switched from windows 2000 to windows 2003.
