Hi guys

I am trying to put your forum on my site, but having a lot of problems, first i was getting errors about the database path, finally sorted that, then i got a CDATE error on the common.asp file, this was easily resolved by changing the LCID to 2057, but then i got another CDATE error:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d'

Type mismatch: 'CDate'

/forum/common.asp, line 448

looked at it, and seems to have something to do with cookies, but i am new to .asp so frankly i am now stuck....

Any advice welcome

Thanks

James

If the cookie was set before you changed the LCID number you may need to delete stored cookies from your browser for the site where your forum is installed.

The Cdate correction looks like it doesn't work with your site, you need to contact your hosts and find out what Locale settings they have on their servers and ask them to check the one on your server.

If that fails ask if you can be moved to another server, as it could be the software is not compatible with the web server you are on.

Web Wiz Forums has been built to run with as many different server configurations as possible, but there will always be the odd server that will refuse to play ball.

It sounds like your host may have set the wrong locale for the server.

The locale settings are setting the server to the region you are located in under Regional and Language Settings in the control panel.

Ask your host what the locale for the server is set to and if it differs from the old server.
