Hello,

First, sorry for my poor english. I'm using Web Wiz Forum V7.8 for my web site ( http://www.asse-actu.com - www.asse-actu.com ) . I'm webhosted in canada. Each two or three days ( depending number of messages posted) the forum cannot be reach. Message error is :

Provider error '80004005'

Unspecified error

/infos/forum03/common.asp, line 260

Contacted, technicians said it's a problem with the script...And to run again the forum they had to empty the cache (?, not sure of the world in english) of my web site...

What can i do ? Can you help me ?

This is a problem with ADO on the server and NOT a problem with the application.

If you web host is not helpful, it's time to find a new one.

The 'Unspecified error' usually indicates a problem with ADO, but what it's hard to say as the error is unspecified.

You will just have to let your host know that the problem is not with the application as it is a widly used application used on many 1,000's of web sites.

It could also be a problem with a corrupted file, so try reuploaidng the files first.

The forum can be hosted by this site at http://www.webwiz.net - www.webwiz.net and even have the forum installed for you.
