| I am wondering what i need to connect my laptop to a tv so can i use the DVD drive on my laptop to play dvd's on the tv?? My laptop is a dell inspiron 4100 using XP Home edition. |

laptops ussually have S-Video out. all you need is S-Video cable for laptop/graphic cards and a skart on the other side to put into the tv/ view i have it on my computer system connected to my projector. and tv |

the TV-out usually looks like a scull with one rectangular hole and four regular circlepin-holes.. If you have it, you just connect the TV to the port and it will most likely be detected automatically if you have the correct drivers installed, if not, just go to display properties and you will find what you need there |
