I just installed version 7.9 on asgared SQL 2000 server. Thereare only about 100 topics and replies right now, but I moved over 900+ users from version 6.34 running Access 2000.

Everything is very sluggish. Does anyone have any performance ideas?

By the way, Web Wiz Forums are AWESOME! thanks.

The same question was posted yesterday, here is my reply:-

The faster the network, and shorter the distance between your web sever and MS SQL Server, the faster your forum will run.

This is what is probably coursing the slowness.

Over possibilities could be that the web server or MS SQL Server are overloaded.
