I set the admin post count to 330,000 and it corrupted the database. After I did that I could no longer use the administrator account.

I fixed it but this is a problem that should get looked at

For some reason it took away the Group_ID from the admin. I just had to enter it again manually.

Interesting. The No_Of_Posts is a Long Int (in tblAuthors) so should work to > 2 billion. Did you try setting to 32,000 and then 33,000 which would test the boundary for an Integer rather than a Long?

Out of interest what Access version / SP are you using?

Hope this helps

I am using access 2002 no SP.

I know this isnt a bug that would come up often but I have known people in the past with over 500,000 posts in a forum. So I am just trying to test every aspect to help borg get a more solid forum.

I just set my post count to 45,331,039 manuly with no errors.

I think the error might be in the register.asp.

I will test more

Yes the error is in the register.asp. I tried changing my post count thru the admin section on the admin account and it wiped out the Group_ID field

I tested with a non admin account and it works correctly. I believe this bug only affects the admin account

lol

yeah

That’s a little unrealistic.

Go to http://www.forumoc.com/ - www.ForumOC.com and look for the user F1.

Now that’s a high post count 37749.

Dose anyone have any ideas on how to fix the Register.asp
