Hi
I am getting strange content in fields such as the form names, the dates messages are posted, and so on.
examples:
- the forum names in the links back show things like "Top Idol Forums", or have odd characters in them
- the dates are correct, except that the name of the month is corrupted
This forum is new and only been up for a week, but
may have been hacked? (the admin name and password have been changed,
but the database is in the original location)
How can I verify and correct this?

Are you using free web hosting?
If so you need to download and use the Lite version of web wiz forums,
otherwise the application variables used in the full version will
effect others on the server and your forum will be affected by theirs.

Thank you (and wow, that was fast!)- that makes sense, as none of the changes looked malicious, just odd.
I've switched to a better host in the meanwhile, so a chance to start off afresh with the Lite version.
