I see there is the capability to check image sizes, for my purposes, I'd love to be able to restrict file dimentions as well as sizes. eg. Height and width restrictions, especially so it doesn't throw the format of the rest of the site out!

Also, at the moment, I think the RTE is difficult to implement if you need it in several areas with different configurations. For example, I want to use it in a location for our Product managers to be able to upload images, the images should be uploaded to a specific path, with an image restriction of 300x300 pixels. And I will use it for example to add news items to the front page, where the images will be uploaded to a different path, again with images limited to 150x150 pixels. It would be nice to 'include' a specific/seperate setup/config file before including the main code. For the time being I will make modifications for my needs, I'm not sure if these are requirements that others may have!

Otherwise, awesome code! I see so much potential and effort involved ... it makes me jealous! I'm currently just a follower, I'd love to be an implementor like you! You've worked DAMN hard on all your code, and we just follow, like puppets ... be encouraged!

Regards from South Africa!

Thanks for the ideas.

I currently working on version 3.0 which will be simpler to implement.

So far I have managed to get it to you can take an already existing textarea with content inside and simply put 3 lines of code in front of the textarea to turn it into an RTE enabled textarea, without all the hassle of passing variables etc. to a sepporate iframe file.

I've also just finished a Word Cleaner, that will clean up documents pasted from Word and also added some keyboard shortcuts for Mozilla for 'bold' etc. (these are already built into IE so I didn't need to add them).

How about adding a "Remove Link" and "Remove Formatting" function.  They work in at least IE and would be nice to have as a standard when using this browser.

Some requests... You choose what you do with them (ignore or not...), it are just ideas. Wink

  • Table preview

An option to make a table and have a preview of that table before you insert it.   The preview could be very helpfull if you have a visual "span" option to make one cell out of two or more cells.

  • Span-option

You can make something so a person can choose two cells and have the option to make it one cell.   Make the cells light up when you choose them or something in the preview.

  • Modify existing table

But more important I think, a possibility to modify your table after it was drawn.  Now you can only make additions/extensions to your existing table in HTML-view.  (Or is it a bug in V3b2? or do I use it the wrong way?)

An option to change the bordersize.  It could be very handy to edit your page with table that has a border size=1 and when you editing is done you can choose to put the border size to 0.

Option to change the background color of a cell/table. Or add an background image.
  • That's it for the moment I think. Smile

I'll try to send you the dutch translation for your editor soon...

Greetz,

Kriz
