Hi,

I would like to do a Dupe-check on my forum members, but now i see that the IP addresses of user aren't stored in the userdatabase ?????

Might this be an idea for the next version of the forum? This way you can check which IP address fits persons who irritate the forum by strange PM messages, posts and spare accounts which they never use until they get banned with the other...

Any idea how i can find dupe-accounts with the verion i have right now? (9.1.0)

kind regards

create a new field in the author table  Reg_IP for example then on register.asp where the details are colected/ inputed into the database,

get the user IP Address and insert it into the field Reg_IP

now you have the IP Address they registered with. the best place to put this IP Address to show to the admins is on the register page, where the admin can chage groups etc.

put a new row saying Registered IP Address, and then bring in the value from the database and display in the row.

true, but here in holland most internetusers have broadband connections with more or less fixed ip's. It will be good enough for doing the checks...

Most broadband suppliers I've used, use NAT so everyone with that ISP uses the same IP address.
