How about adding a feature to the forum that will add scrollbars left to right on post that are wider than the forum is. This forum here has it. http://www.simplemachines.org/index.php - http://www.simplemachines.org/index.php  any ideas on it?

If I understood the question this is not a forum feature but the scrollbar is added by the browser if your screen reso is lower than page width.

no scroll bars on my screen at simplemachines.org.

Sorry about that, here is a screenshot of the forum that has it,
You will see the scrollbars on the bottom of the post.

The pic itself is probably displayed within a div with autoscroll set on the div. The div then resides in a fixed width table cell so only the pic div scrolls, not the table csll. The format of the scroll bars is done with css,

couldnt something be done like MadDogs site, like how he does the "Latest Members" scrollbars in a cell?

but personally i wouldnt like it so it'd be best as a mod
