Hello all,

Hope someone can help. I recently had my forum moved to a different server. I am using MS SQL 2000 (no changes with move) and the usernames and passwords are encrypted. The problem is that since moving the forum files to a different server no one can get access to the forum. They can login and it says successful login but when you are sent back to the topics page all the private forums are still inaccessible and it doesn't show as logged in at the top.

Does anyone know if the user id and password encryption is tied into the servers ip somehow or why it would stop working just because the forum site files where moved to another server?

changing hosts/servers shouldn't make any difference to logging in. The passwords are not dependant on anything on the server. or IP

has the host set something on the server that is not allowing the cookies to be set.

one thing that can course problems is chat rooms.
