any suggestions on this problem appreciated:

new user signs up to the forum and receives their email notification to some bogus temporary email address that they've setup for just this purpose.   After they get the notification, they delete that temporary email account.   For example, a user with an aol.com account may be able to have 3 different aliases.  So they rotate fake names through the alias system in order to register different users on the system.

Looking for ways to re-confirm users periodically to ensure that their email addresses are still valid, and any user without a valid email address could be deleted or re-assigned to a non-posting group until reactivated.

every 2 months say de-activate all accounts and send emails to them all saying they have to confirm there details..

can make it a click once, and run through all the users.

you could blag it saying to the user, for there protection we are doing an account check. to make sure all accounts are correct and up to date
