Hello,

After reading through all the threads for the solution, I didn't find one that fit my particular situation.

There are two environments, one where it works, one where the error occurs.  Both environments are OS:Windows 2003, SQL2000 (no upsizing here, I started out with SQL)

Here is the error I get:
--------------------------
 ADODB.Recordset error '800a0cb3'

Current Recordset does not support updating. This may be a limitation of the provider, or of the selected locktype.

/onlinecommunity/admin/forum_configure.asp, line 143

---------------------------
it also happens when I try to change the email admin settings.

This was working on the "live" server because we couldn't have set it up without it.  I've been banging my head on what could have changed since the code is the same in both environments.

Any help is totally appreciated.

Thanks,

James

Well, I figured out what the problem is...when I was updating some of the stored procedures I put "set nocount on" in the statement...it didn't like that.

I hope this helps someone else.

Peace
