I keep getting this error on several spots in my forum but my server admin keeps telling me he set permissions on the database? Anyone have any ideas what is going on? Should permissions be set to the entire forum directory? or just the sub admin directory? Please help, my site is number one of 8 million for its popular category but no one can sign up.

firstly please do a search next time i answered this same sort of question within the past week.

you need to make sure the database is not set to read-only by right clicking and properties

and also make sure the folder that holds the database has read/write and modify permssions enabled

I am trying to configure Web Wiz Mailing List and I get the same error.

I searched for other forum posts regarding this topic and all say to make sure the directory and database have read/write permissions ...I have done this but still get this error. Help!

I have uploaded and used other web wiz apps and not had this issue before.
