I have downloaded the WWF and installed it on my website. I was able to change the logo but not the link. I understand that this will be possible once I purchase a license.

I have attempted to modify the skin and have been unsuccessful...while I understand the principal my execution might be wanting. Am I restricted from changing the skin until after I purchase the license?

You can change the logo and link displayed at the top of the page from the 'Forum Configuration' page in the admin area.

You can also change the look of the forum without making a purchase.

What purchasing the link removal key does do, is once entered in the 'link removal page' in the admin area is to remove the link back to web wiz guide visible at the bottom of the pages:-

Hence the free version comes under the 'Linkware' license agreement.
