IS there an issue with using windows to remember your password and this board?

I have had a couple people say that everytime they come back to the site they need to re-login.

Hm...just curious if anyone else has seen this.

Mike

If they have cookie clean up software running or delete their cookies then they will need to re-log back into the forum.

thanks...

1 last thing.  There is a couple members that can't get their javascript to work with the board...i/e/ pop-up windows, emoticons, upload, etc. with IE.

Their javascript settings are right and they added the site to the trusted zone with low settings.

Any idea what could be causing this other than a pop-up stopper?

Thanks a mill borg,
Mike

They must be runnig software that disables some JavaScript or don't have JavaScript and other scripting languages properly enabled on their browser.

IE does have many issues with cookies, if your cookies start messing up you need to first delete all internet files, then delete your cookies, this then allows IE to reset it's cookie index.

Well Borg perhaps you're right,

but why does it happens only on this site.

I mean re-registering, last week it was the 3th time that i had to do that. I had to say in the past i didn't post a reply nor started a post, could that be the problem. ( batch delete non posted members )

I do run a batch delete on all members who have never posted if they signed up over two weeks ago to keep usernames free and cut down on the amount of data in the database, otherwise there would be over 8,000 registered users, most of which have never posted a message.
