i have a site wit "Skins" and i was thinkin of havin it get the list of skins from a database and put them in a ComboBox thing

but as am gunna have the "Skin Changer" on every page, i dunno if it would be good to access the database all the time - even thought am a "groupie" i should really be a "newbie"

so i dunno about "performace" and that

anyway, would it be a better idea to use a text file as the database or access or wot? as am gunna have a page to give info on the Skin, like a description, screenshot, author and stuff, and i was also gunna make a "Rate This Skin" but if ya think i should use a Text file then i wouldnt bother

anyway, should i use a Textfile, access or just make a page and import it wit the "<!--#include...-->" thing?

Check out Alistapart.com for their CSS switcher - it may do the trick for you.

I made the newest version of my site with a "Theme Chooser" and all the skins are in the database... i have no problem on my site from that, you cant even notice the extra database query for each skin variable
