Hello,

When I run a Norton Anti-virus scan on a single Word document, the summary shows that seven files were scanned and no viruses detected.  Does anyone know what the other 6 files are?

Also, I tested a brand new document and the results are the same.

Any feedback would be appreciated,

RCorr

When it scans a word document it probably scans templates aswell such as template.dot

Virus scanners also scan memory first. I don't use Norton, but it may report things like that as well in the total.

There are other files that would need to be scanned prior to the Word file, like system files. That could be it.
