Hello, recently I installed Windows 2000 Advanced Server. After installation of some programes, I have realized there are some usless programes in my windows startup. Each time windows starts, a lot of programes (usless ones) start with it automatically. In win 98 and XP I can remove them by using the MSConfig tool, but I dont know how do I remove programes in windows 2000 since there is no such thing as MSConfig in it.

Any hints?

do a search on fileforum or download.com. Msconfig should work if you extract a version from the xp cd. There are also other freeware tools that manage startup. There is a specific one that mimics msconfig for Win2k.

I use this on XP http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml

Or just do it all through regedit
