I am running multiple WWF's and I have made the recommended changes as specified below,

1) I have set up different databases for each forum
2) the sql statemenets in both common.asp all point to different databases
3) In the common.asp files, I have changed the
blnUseApplicationVariables = false
4) along with the cookie variables (not matching on all forums) in both common.asp files.

Is that all that I should be changing?

Now, the symptoms I am having are the following,

1) When someone logs in on one forum, they appear as an active user on the other forum.  If you click their nickname on the forum they shouldn't be showing up on, it comes back saying that the user is not a registered user of the forum.
2) Users are not showing up in the memberlists on the different forums, so I am assuming this is a cookie related issue?  If so, please advise - I made the changes to the cookie in the common.asp files so they are different on all forums.

Not sure what else to do.

Oh!, one more thing.

the forums are setup as different virtual directories, such as,

www.<nameofsite>.com\<forum1>
www.<nameofsite>.com\<forum2>

They reside in their own directory at the root of my site.

Can you have more thank one cookie per domain?

Any help/guidance will be appreciated.

That is definitly a cookie and app vars issue.

There are some cookies like LTVST, NS and others that you haven't change, so they will be shared, also some application variables are being shared, you set the config app vars to false but there are other app vars that are not config related and therefore need to be renamed.

To make it work, search all files for cookies and make sure none of your WWF's are sharing the same cookie names, do the same for all app var names you find.

The main problem you mention is the Active Users, if you run multiple instances of Web Wiz Forums on the same site, this feature has to be disabled in ALL forums.

The Active Users feature uses application variables.
