I am seeing some bizarre behavior in users' e-mail notifications.

E-mail notifications (for new posts) are sometimes being truncated, often in the middle of the post, making them entirely unreadable.

I have had a good look at the post_message and e-mailing code, but other than the normal post formatting string replacements, I can't see anything that might be causing this.

I've noticed that, in some of the messages that have the "middles" chopped out, it often follows a carriage-return.  Recently, I implemented a fix for Mac users who were getting extra CRs in their posts (found this fix elsewhere on the board here), but I can't confirm that these truncation problems are related (or limited to) Mac users in order to make a correlation.

Anyone else experienced this sort of behavior?  For the record, I made a decent search effort before posting.

Thanks in advance-
Tim

are you using the latest version V7.9?

also what email component are you using if able to dont use CDONTS as that is outdated and no longer avalible for support from Microsoft.

CDOSYS was the upgrade from CDONTS. or you can try one of the other components.

have you got an example of the length of an email that is sent so we can see the size of it. i think its regards to the component though.

Running v7.9 with CDOSYS for e-mail.

Here is an example of the e-mail problem:

Maggie (9) has horseback riding lessons on Friday afternoons and Little Flowers the first Friday of the month. She has a homeschool art class every other Thursday morning.

Mary Grace (7) has tap dance on Monday evenings (dh takes her and picks her up), Choir on Tuesdays, Ballet on Wednesday afternoons and homeschool art class on every other Thursday morning and Little Flowers every first Friday.

John Paul (almost 5) tags along but we will probably find him something of his own soon. He will do swim lessons this summer with his older sisters.

Anna (3) tags along and will start a ballet/tap combo class in the fall.

Tess (6 months today!), of course, hangs out with mom in her sling!

We are home A LOT...I like being home!! All of our activities (except art class and LF's which total 3 x a month) are in the late afternoon and my dh and a friend can take and pick up so I don't have to get out unless I want to...The activities this school year have been a good fit for our family as I am a bit of a homebody and had a newborn...
