What do you mean by 'I get a login box'?
What type of login box are you refering and when?

Under edit profile, upload avatar, when I upload it and you get the
dialog box that says be patient while the image is being uploaded to
the server, I press the OK button and thats when I get this logon box.

This type of login box has nothing to do with the forum software.
This login box would be as a sresult of the server, some sort of permissions problem.
You probally have the server setup to reequire a password to access a
particular folder, maybe the folder you are trying to upload the file
to.

Thanks for the help, it took me a while to find it, and now it works.
And for other people, here is the fix. Bring up the IIS manager,
goto the \forum directory and right click and choose properties, select
the Directory Security tab, under the Authentication and access control
section select Edit, in the Authenticated access area uncheck Intergrated Windows Authentication.
