Hi!

I run a 7.6 forum on access and now need to migrate it to SQLServer.

When trying to import the tables from Access into the new 7.9 SQLServer version it complains about a lot of things. So I figure there are two ways to handle this:

1) Install the 7.6 version of SQLServer (then I need a copy of it please)

2) Somehow learn how-to migrate it cross both system and versions.

I guess alternative 1 is the easiest since 7.6 runs w/o any problems at all.

Can anyone please post a copy of the 7.6 SQLServer version of the forum?

The database for 7.6 version is identical to the 7.9 version and so is the SQL Server setup file.

The Version History file lists all the changed files between 7.6 and 7.9, but as these versions where security updates only around 10 files at the most have changed between these versions, and to keep your forum safe from hackers you should update these changed files.

There is a sticky post on this forum on upgrading from Access to SQL Server, but it is a difficult task and it seems what works for one person doesn't work for another when trnasfering the data across, so read through the posts on all the pages.
