Just use the windows media player control, it's called "Windows Media Player"... just add it to your toolbox then drag and drop

You have to set the URL property and tell it to play first...

I am not playing the song from any URL, I am playing it from local hoard disk, and I mean to say that if the song is of length 10 minutes and after 5 minutes if I close the application, the song should be played from 5 minutes when I restart the application and not from 0.00 seconds. Anyone understand ?? pls help

You can do it with the WMP control. But you need to do that stuff programmatically. If you want really good stuff, you need Lead Tools.

Remember that with WMP, some formats/encodings cannot be played from any point - some can only be played from beginning to end.

You still set the URL property.... it doesn't make a difference whether its http:// or just a path like C:\mysong.mp3

At the top of your form in vb.net:

Imports Microsoft.MediaPlayer.Interop

or with "using" if you use c#

Then drag ad drop a WMP control onto your designer surface. everything is pretty straight forward after that. Make sure you have the SDK installed though.

See this page:

It's so easy you'll cry at the simplicity.

I know - I was just being very lazy...

Either way, it's about the same thing - install SDK - drop control on form - wire up custom controls & logic - build.
