-- Let's suppose you have a catalogue with products always up-to-date, and visitors want to be notified by email when a specific product is available: how can you do it?

---e.g.: we have a car DB and a search engine. The customer can't find his model and wants to receive an email when that model is available, sorting by make, price etc..

You may not do this with pure ASP. You need a mailing list for your visitors to join, and a standalone application to scan your database and notify the members of that list.
