Im trying to test some asp on my machine and they worked a minute ago but now the local host is taking ages to process anything and says
This error can occur if the Web server is busy and cannot process your request due to heavy traffic.
Does anyone know how to reset it so i can get on with what im doing?
Thanks,
rob

the fact that the offending script wors properly after only a reboot suggests that there is still an issue somewhere in that script that only crops up when certain conditions are met. If i were you, i'd go through and look at any loops you have to make sure there's no way that the computer could end up interperating them as 'Do While 1=1'

My IIS is being really sluggish lately as even when i test pages that simply have a response.write statement in, it displays an older version of the contents of that page that i did a a while ago.
I see what you are getting at though.

Thanks again,
rob

i assume you are updating the files in your inetpub folder.

Although i doubt it'll work, you could clear all history and temp internet files, there might be some issues with your browser improperly trying to cache your .asp

aside from that, a defrag of your inetpud drive might help might be a good idea.

I don't know how useful any of that will be, but its a place to start.
