Subject: Problem Deleting Users

I recently transfered my forum from one server to another. Now I can not delete any users unless I do it direct through the database.  I thought perhaps the register.asp page was somehow messed up so I reloaded every page from a previous copy. Unfortunately it still does not work. I think it may be a database issue but I'm not entire sure what I'm looking for. Does anyone have any ideas regarding what could possible be the problem and how to fix it?

Thanks,
Lee

It's hard to tell what the problem is without further info.

Do you get an error message?
What happens when you try and delete a user?

That's just it...
It doesnt' do anything.... no error.. no deletion...nothing...
I go thtrough the process to delete a user and everything works exactly as it's supposed to, except for the fact that it doesn't actually delete to user.

Are you checking the delete user box when editing their profile.

To be honest, I would recommend just de-activating the persons account instead otherwise any posts they have made could look odd. Also it stops them signing up with the same name again.

Yes I am checking the delete user box.

Also, it's a test account I was using to test a change to the activation email. It's not a real user and technically it doesn't need to be deleted but I'd rather make sure everything is fuctioning properly just in case this is related to a larger problem that may surface later.

Better to be safe than sorry...

Thank you for trying to help but I've found the problem.

Apparently in transferring between servers it lost the beginning and end bits of certain files causing parts to be swapped. Somehow the parts that were swapped fell just right that it wasn't throwing any error message.

Unfortunately this now means that I know have to go through ever single page and look for this issue. At least I now know what the problem is and can attempt to fix it.

Once again, Thank you for attempting to help.
