I'm permitting all sites to set cookies with no restriction in FF and
entering a good password (tested by entering bad password and receiving
expected error). I get the login confirmation page, then
redirected back to the main forum page only to find that I'm not logged
in.
Any ideas?

Clear all your cookies and try again.
Ive found that 99% of the time when people are having problems logging in its because they need to clear their cookies.

I tried to find this post shortly after making it, but I
couldn't. I was going to delete it, as I finally figured it
out. Oh, and I cleared my cookies, and even tried to use the link
to delete cookie set by WW.
Here's what happened.
When I installed FireFox, I imported all my IE favorites and
cookies. I set exceptions for *.hazelip.com, www.hazelip.com, and
out of desperation, even www.hazelip.com/forum.
I set my browser to allow all cookies, and I was logged in without any
problem. I then came here to post my issue, and found that I was
already logged in. Odd, I thought, as I've never been here
through FF. I posted my problem and then set my browser back to
not allowing any cookies and discovered that I couldn't log in here.
I set browser exceptions for this site in the same multiple URL
formats, and discovered that I could not log in here. I manually
removed the cookies for this site, set the exception to
www.webwisguide.info and restarted FF just to make sure.
I could then log in here. I repeated those same steps with my own
site's cookies, and set the exception to just www.hazelip.com and found
that I could log in just fine. Deleting all cookies would have
been like using napalm to get rid of crab grass in my lawn...
Thanks for your suggestion, but I got to the root cause and resolved the issue.
