Hi,

Have an interesting issue with both image and document uploads.

With both images and documents, the file is correctly uploaded to the server and placed correctly within a username folder within the image or document subfolder.

The uploaded file can be seen on the server after logging in with FTP.

But.... neither images or document are viewable within the message.  Have tried preview and logging out and back into the forum and the uploaded files are never referenced within the message text.

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

A little more info on this issue.

Have been looking at the tblThreads table.

Have found that even though the image or document file is uploaded and stored in the correct folder, there is no <IMG being inserted into the message column of tblThreads.

Doh !

Just tested this on another PC which does not have XP SP2 installed and it worked fine.

Appears to be an SP2 issue ???

Souldn't be an issue with XP SP2 as I have it installed on my machine and have no problem, also if there was such a problem as SP2 has been around for 6 months now this forum would be flooded with users with the same issue.

You never mentioned what browser you are using, sometimes settings on your browser, pop up add blockers, av, firewall, etc. software can prevent some javascript for working, this could be the course of your problem.

You're right it's not SP2 as I've now tested on several other PCs some of which had SP2 and it worked fine.

The issue appears restricted to IE on my PC only.  Incact Opera on my PC works fine.  Must be some setting within IE on my PC.

Thanks for your reply.
