I am sure I have seen this, maybe its because I am using the Access software rather than the Lite software.

I want to stop any uploads to the forum, so no image or file uploads, where can I switch these off?

i belive its from within the group settings , you have to set image /file uploading to off.. also try the forum permssions section.
