When I am logged in as administrator and click on a different topic or thread I get logged out of the forum without clicking Log Out. The same happens when I try to post. I am logged in when I type the post but when I click to submit the post the forum logs me out and posts the post as geust. If anyone could shed and light on this I would be very greatful.

is this a windows 2003 server? there is a problem with it where it wont hold cookies very long. also does the server have web gardens enabled on it? if not then try setting the session timeout (on the server) or get the host to do so. to about 45 minutes.. it wont last that long but maybe 20. also make sure your browser has cookies,session veriables enabled. also try a different browser (firefox is good). also you can try adding the domain to your white list fr cookies. does anyone else suffer with the issue |

Google Web Accelerator has been really hosing up forum sites.
Basically, it preloads the links it finds on a page by clicking every link it finds - e.g. "logoff", "Delete all posts", etc.
Apparently, it was also clicking on all the adds on a page which really screwed peoples advertising budgets. Also, any form input data that wasn't on an https page gets sent to Google.
The on the google site description of how it works is wrong. Google pulled it from circulation but there's a lot of copies out there.
