I had to switch from Windows 2003 Server to LINUX (FC3-64bit), so I must bid WebWiz a farewell. It's a shame, because I've been using it for 2 years without much in the way of problems. A big <THANKS> to all those that supported it.

I do, however, have to ask a simple question: Does anyone know of a forum program for LINUX that I can import the WebWiz forum database into? I'd like to void losing 2 years worth of messages.

sorry to hear the news.

your better off asking at the other sites if you are able to move from Web Wiz Forums to them.

with most forums cross tranfer is not very doable.

Just as an aside...
PhpBB has had a sting of exploits against it lately. Word is that the exploits aren't over yet.
vBulletin seems to be pretty secure - at least for the nex 5 minutes - lol.

I doubt you would get it working with Chilli ASP, I think you would need to change a lot of things.

A few people have tried to run wwf on chili but no one succedded to my knowledge. Chillisoft's environment is just missing to many commonly used ms components to be successful.  There is another product out - who's name I forget. Someone posted here about it. apparently they were able to get wwf to run under it.

Personally, I came up through a discipline where you picked the applications you needed to run, then went looking for an os/hardware to run it on rather than pick the os and then try to make an application "fit". A lot of people entering the internet space go the back-assward way of picking an os first.
