I am using SSI for my menu on my site, and CSS for the styles, I have set properties for H1 and H2 tags in the CSS file.

I have used SSI before so the menu as no HTML HEAD or BODY tags as these are already in the main page.

The problem is when I view the site:

In Dreamweaver looking at the index.asp page it looks nice neat and tidy just as I want it.

In Dreamweaver looking at the menu.asp page it does not look right (but thats down to the CSS being left out)

In IE it looks really bad as though its taking no notice of the CSS file at all.

My guess would be that the margins and padding being referenced within the include files css are being overridden by those for a container on the main page.

Lead me not into temptation... I know the short cut, follow me.
