Can someone please look at this logo:
and let me know the exact color that is being used at the bottom? I know that it's mauve. But I need the exact color such as #ffffff.

Thank you for figuring this out! I am just curious. How did you figure this out? I really would like to be able to figure out colors in Fireworks.

In Fireworks or other images programs you can color select, and it will tell you the colour.

Hi Misty,

The easy way is to copy/paste the image into FW and use the fill color or line color tool to display the color. You can also use the "Color Picker" extension in FireFox to help out on web page images.

Here's a quick video tutorial with voiceover showing you how:

When I'm working with graphics I fire up the freebie EclipsePallette.
Sits on the taskbar and can show the code of anything on the page. Can copy it to the clipboard in a variety of formats. Low progile app. Only thing it's missing is a history list.
