Please take a look at http://www.bethedenmbc.org - http://www.bethedenmbc.org . Please look at the skyline picture. The sky in the skyline picture has become blurred. I added the skyline picture to the .png file. It became bitmap. You can see the .png file at http://www.bethedenmbc.org/bembc.png - http://www.bethedenmbc.org/bembc.png . The picture is very clear in the .png file. But it is blurred in the html file. Can someone please help me to figure out what's wrong?

It looks like the color depth in the BEMBC_r1_c1.gif file are set very low. You need to recreate the image from the original but this time set the color depth to 32k if this is ok then try 256 the more you decrease the more you will get this type of problem.

I can not say if this would fix you problen but from what I can see its a good chance.

A gif only has a color depth of 256 colors. You're going to need to either save the image as a jpg or slice the original image and save some parts as gif's and the high color depth parts as jpgs.

I still cannot solve this problem. Is there any way that someone could send me a PM with his/her email address? I could send you the .PNG file and the .jpg file. The church's picture on the left is very clear and it's a .gif file.

The church probably had fewer colors to begin with.
Sky is usually a lot of variations of one color. When color depth is reduced, it tries to match each pixel to the closest color in it's pallet. Typically for converting sky that would be trying to map 1000 blended shades of blue into just a few shades for a gif. In the reduced color depth version, you'll see patches of one shade or the other depending upon the luminesence and other factors for that area in the original.

It also helps to look at the pic in the lowest screen resoulution you expect your users to use. Jpgs that look fine on my 1600x1200 screen with the tiny tiny pixels look like trash on an 800x600.

I can check it out Monday evening if you can wait that long, other wise perhaps one of the other folk can help.
