Just plug the entire string entered by the user into the bcc field.

Yes, but seperate with semi-colons instead of commas if using something like CDOSYS. One thing to watch out for though, some ISPs object to emails being sent with lots of bcc entries as this can be an indicator of spam. Another option is to us the SPLIT function to seperate the string into an array and then loop through the array sending individual emails. For example:

myList = mailto:abc@xyz.com,def@xyz.com,ghi@xyz.com,jkl@xyz.com - abc@xyz.com,def@xyz.com,ghi@xyz.com,jkl@xyz.com

myArray = SPLIT(myList, ",")

FOR EACH eAddress in myArray
   ' code to send email
   .
   .
   mailto = eAddress
   .
   .
NEXT

Hope that makes sense

commas may work depending upon how your host set up the mail server. semi-colons always work.

If you're only sending to up to 5 addresses at a time, I don't think bcc will hurt.

Agreed, up to 5 addresses (I have seen 6+ blocked by an ISP) should be fine and it's certainly simpler than having to create and loop through an array. However the original poster said that there could be more than 5 addresses.
