To quote Rodney Daingerfield: "No respect...No respect!"
Seriously, I had one client the other night (home user) that insisted I
was not charging her (60 yr lady) enough for updating her new pc,
installing a/v, transferring data from her old Win95 pc, giving her
basic security tips, and some software lessons. Yep, she insisted on
paying me more! If I could only find more clients like that.....

Hah, better than having someone phone you up and non stop swearing at
you swearing to hunt you down, and putting this forward in the rudest
way possible.
I was accused of being a thief, because my site was down for 30
minutes. Doesn't really make sense, I guess some people at the
end of the day are just assholes.

There are plenty of that. Customer Service skills can't be found easily. I just had a weird experience where I ordered a lens at a brooklyn store. They sent an email to call them to expedite shipping (?) when I called, they tried to upsell me to a us warranty modell saying the grey market I bought won't fit my camera (yeah right). I ended up talking to a CSR, when I said "Don't transfer me again for the 100'th time, I want to talk to you" He said "Don't you tell me what to do, I don't need anyone telling me how to do my job". After some more unpleasentries, he said "How about we just cancel your order" and hung up. What an ass.
But like I said those self-made csr just don't have skill and loose customers in the long run.

I've decided now if I get any more bad calls I'm just going to hang
up. It's not worth it for a quarrel over a few pounds, if I loose
their business, fine, I don't care I'd rather not being helping anyone
that's like that.

I've had death threats from some wacko in Saudi Arabia. He went on
about killing my family, insults, and generally incoherent garbage.
He was just a nutbar that had gone off the deep end a long time ago. I ignored him.

I think companies credit customers too much. In life you
shouldn't have to listen to someone launching into a barrage of bad
language, you shouldn't have to tolerate threats, I think everyone has
every right to hang up on anyone doing those of the above, you are
perfectly within your right to do so, granted it doesn't help the
situation, but until those people calm down, I won't speak to them, end
of.

Just human beings relations and touch, get close to their soul, you may find it easier. Stand in other people's shoes will make things better.
