I need help with converting the following function in ASP.Net (VB.Net) to Classic ASP:

Function EncryptIt(_strClearText as String, _strEncryptionType as String) as String

dim strEncryptedText as String

'Encrypt the text

strEncryptedText = FormsAuthentication.HashPasswordForStoringInConfigFile(_strClearText, _strEncryptionType)

return strEncryptedText

End Function

You would need a seperate function for encrypting to sha1 or md5 whichever you are using. I am sure there are tons of functions on aspin.com or so.
