Is the replace function case sensitive?
will this work?

replace("the dOg","dog","cat")

or will it only work if it is exact?

I think it's not case sensitive, and theres an extra optional parameter that can be added on to change this.

Best way to see is to test it!

It is case sensitive. Try using either regular expressions or perhaps something like

replace(Lcase("the dOg"), "dog", "cat")

i worked it out... one of the optional parameters determines either binary compare of textual compare. One of them makes it case sensitive the other doesn't...
