Good Morning,

I am setting up a new SQL Webwiz Forum...

I have setup hosting
Activated MS SQL and created an empty database
Edited the SQL_server_conection.asp
Copied all files to host
Ran msSQL_server_setup.asp

When running this file I noticed the follwoing message...
==============================================
Please Read!!
Enter a username and password in the box below that has table creation/modification
rights at the SQL Server database you are using.

This may not be the same user that you have used in your SQL Server connection string!

===============================================

I contacted my hosting company (godaddy.com) and they said there isin't an option to set up another username to connect to the database.  So that leaves me with the one that I set up in the connection string.

We I put that information in the feilds, I get a connection error...
================================================
Error Connecting to database on SQL Server

Check the following is set up and correct:-

SQL Server User Name
SQL Server Password
Name of the SQL Server
Database name set up by you on the server
Empty Database set up by you on the SQL Server

Check also that you have entered the correct details in the file 'SQL_server_connection.asp' found in the admin directory.

================================================

Any help on this is greatly appreciacted.

WOLF

Is there a work around for this?

as it says you sometimes have a login username and password and one used within scripts.

if the connection strings is correct and if you can only have one username/password then that would be the ones to use.

only thing i can say is mae sure the connection string is right.

there is no real work around unless you use something like enterprise manager etc to do it all manually, and i dont thikn you want to do that.
