Hi, Wink

I've got a problem with the "WYSIWYG RTE Post Editor" in my forum.

When clicking Enter :
WYSIWYG = on : a blank line is first inserted before the line
WYSIWYG = off : a break line is inserted

Could you please tell me how to do not to have any "inserted" line when using WYSYWYG mode ?

Best, Ouch

In WYSIWYG the line break is to do with Microsoft's editing facilities built into IE.

For some reason MS decided that when you hit return it should put in a <p> tag creating a double line space, the way to make it insert a <br> and just move to the next line is to press SHIFT -> ENTER

Ok,but why is it not the case in your forum and it's working with mine? I connect to both with IE.

I know about the SHIFT + ENTER function but I don't think the users do !

In version 8 which is being tested on this site I have written a new function that detacts key presses in IE and when the ENTER key is detected as being pressed the function jumps in to disable IE's handling of the ENTER key and inserts <br> instead.
