For some bizarre reason I or my forums other moderators or the forum admin account cannot edit any posts other than our own.
If I try and edit any other members posts I get redirected to the insufficient_permissions.asp page.

Version 7.9 (patched) on SQL Server

I think it is only happening in the last few days. Also, I patched my edition recently, but I don't know if this is the cause as I downloaded the patch again just now and it doesn't make any difference.

Any ideas folks?

Update: it seems that I can edit some posts but not all. There appears to be no logic to this problem. Any ideas?

make sure you have admin priveleges and that you are allowed to edit posts within that forum, within the group set up.

it maybe you have access within certian forums and not others. check the group and member permssions

all member priviliges are the way they should be!
Also as a test I tried editing one thread and it allowed me edit some of the posts but not others!

I have the same problem and am also using 7.9 patched with SQL Server.  The problem did not manifest itself until I patched my installation of WWF.

Rider - is yours still doing this? Mine is! Cry

I downloaded a fresh copy of WWF and uploaded it into a sub directory. It too gives the error, which leads me to think it may be a server issue - but what kind?

I also tried it from my own machine (accessing the remote SQL DB) and errors with both the normal and fresh copy! Cry
