I'm trying to return records starting with the most relevant desending to the lest relevant bast on 7 veriables.

How do you write a SQL statment to return a bunch of records and order by matching of the veriables.

so return 7 out of 7 first but then any of the 6 out of the 7 and then any of the 5 out of 7.

i'm only been doing this for a year so any help would be appreciated.

how do you calculate the relevance? Is this a calcualted column or what? If it was you simple do 'order by relevance desc' but I guess thats not what you are after. go ahead and post your table/view and we can help you better.
