Hello All,

I am using Aspmail and have specified the Ip address in the admin setup. However I can't get any email.

Does anyone have any advice?

Check with your web host on the correct settings and there SMTP server authentication settings.

I have no problems using ASPMail with my asp pages, I just can't get the forum to email me. Is using the IP address instead of the host name OK?

Using the IP address should be fine, but may stress agian check with your host as to there settings as normally the problem is at there end or they require you to add some extra settings.

For reference only:
I'll confirm the 'error' to some extent.

Using v7.01 on a site that works perfect with ServerObjects.ASPMail Version: 4.03 on the other pages, no mail arrives from the forum.

There was no error 'response.write' either.

What really ticked me off was that with Persits ASPEmail everything worked perfect.

The problem was that we referenced the mail server as mail.ourdomin.com but when we changed it to only ourdomain.com (without the mail. hostname) everythingh started to work.

Dont know why...probably som ISP config gone wild... Tipped the ISP about as well.
