Can I use the rte if it is stored in a different directory?

It depends what you mean by 'stored in a different directory'. If you mean can you put the RTE in a different directory than RTE, then as borg says, that's pretty difficult. But if you mean can you access it from a different directory (to use with different parts of your website), then the answer is yes. Just direct the calling page to "RTE/default.asp"
