Between asp and asp.net?

Looking at your home page... I would say you are accustomed to asp classic. The leap to dot net is a big one... but inevitable I think.

Totally agree. wingking: The differences are so many that I'm really not going to list them, but think of it as the next improved version of classic ASP. I heard Microsoft will not drop support for classic ASP for at least 5 years, but I have the feeling they will drop it in 2/3 years, maybe even releasing IIS 7 with no support for classic ASP at all. I still use classic ASP because I have to deliver on time, no time to test, try, see if I can in ASP.NET, but sooner or later I have to make the jump (approaching the edge already). ------------- :: http://www.mylittlehost.com/ - www.mylittlehost.com |

Well, classic asp has 6 ojects - e.g. response object, session object, etc.. asp.net has 3400 objects I still do a lot in asp because it's been around for a long time and I know it well. I find that I use it as a quick and dirty utility language more than as a site constuction methodology. I can code a site in asp. I can construct a site in asp.net. It's kind of like the difference between building a tool shed with a small set of hand tools and constructing a house where you have to deal with concrete, plumbing, electrical, climate systems, as well as wood. -------------
