Hi Gents and Ladies

I have not quite seen the thread for my problem. If it has already been discussed please post a url to the thread.

Here goes: I am running xp pro on my testing machine. The forum works great without any glitches. I uploaded it onto a win 2003 server - my webhost- and now keep on getting the following error message as i try to logon as administrator or anyone else for that matter.

I get the following error message.

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e09'

Cannot update. Database or object is read-only.

/forum/login_user.asp, line 171

Since I am not 100% familliar with server 2003, could anyone please inform me as to what to say to my webhost on fixing this.
He is new to server 2003 also.

Hope someone can help!

thanks

This error is listed within the install instructions that come with the software, under common errors.

It is a permissions error, you can also read the docs online at:-
