I have a problem... the only component that my hosting company supports is the ABCUpload. I am trying to figure out how to get it to upload... I am editing the functions\functions_upload.asp & am working to no avail. If you want the documentation it can be found http://www.websupergoo.com/helpupload/frames.htm - here . Thanks in advance... Also... my e-mail is mailto:genmud@cox.net?subject=WWG Contact - mailto:genmud@cox.net?subject=WWG Contact

Stop abusing the forum. People like you make it hard for other people to get help when you bump your post every 10min. Take a number and sit down.

I had a look at ABCUpload but as it is a client side upload active x component and as it lacks other features it is not possible to be used with the forum. I'm afraid that you will either have to convence your hosting company to install some decent upload components or not be able to use the upload features of the forum.

Genmud,

If you have it hosted on your "testing server" then I assume you could install one of the components supported by WWF on your server. I put the ASPSmartUpload on my home test server in under 2 mins. My host only supports only supports ASPSimpleUpload so I just change my settings when I move my forum to my "live" server.

Dealing with the IP (static or not) is no big deal. One easy way is http://www.dyndns.org - www.dyndns.org , which is what I use for my home webserver.

Yea, i have the upload components on my testing server, but you have to access the server through a port #(8080) because my ISP blocks 80, so I have a webhop account with dyndns... I love that company
